Local archery and rugby clubs are ideally located within a short walking distance from The Pier Lodge or discover QEII Park - an impressive multi-sport and leisure complex with swimming pools and fitness centres. Surfing is also a great way to enhance your New Zealand vacation experience and a wonderful way to meet the locals. Lessons and board hire can be found at nearby shops and on the beachfront itself (behind the whale pool park). At The Pier Lodge, you will be just 24 minutes from Christchurch City centre by public transport (Bus No. 83 or MetroStar) and 8 minutes walking distance to beautiful New Brighton Beach.
The Pier Lodge has our own Chapel that can seat about 70 People with a Lounge for the bride.
